![]() Good Enhancement to TV Sound, but very little bass, Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Refurbished DO NOT BUY A SOUNDBAR expecting 5.1 performance as some of the reviewers of this product did, but if you're looking for Bose quality sound in a small, easy to set up package for your smaller bedroom TV, like I was, this is a good deal at only $99. ![]() If you want booming bass and immersive sound, buy a 5.1 surround system. Good TV speakers are about on level with this soundbar though. This is Bose Quality that is several steps above bad TV speakers. It leaves a lot to be desired in terms if volume, but there are larger, more feature packed products that all are more expensive. Overall, I enjoy the product for its size, simplicity and it's sound quality. The remote didn't function well with my TV, which really isn't important to me. If I would have bought this from the store for $250, I would have returned it immediately after reaching max volume the first time. BUT, to move on to the bad notes, it isn't very loud. It was extremely simple to set up, place the unit, plug in power, plug in the included optical cable to your tv and turn on. I mean really, this soundbar has 2 about 1 5\8" speakers inside. The Dialog Mode function is great for TV shows as well as movies and the bass is quite powerful for such a small unit. ![]() To start on a good note, the sound is rich and full as to be expected from a Bose product. I was lucky enough to nab this factory refurbished one direct from Bose for only $99 on Bose's eBay store. At $250 it is overpriced from the chain stores. Honestly, the reviews for this Bose 5 soundbar tell most of the story.
